Music in Asheville is great – and there is wonderful variety. One of our favorite music venues is the Grey Eagle.  Why do I like it?  Very casual atmosphere, actually very good food if you want to eat there – Twin Cousins Kitchen, providing very fine Southern Louisiana food.

Local musicians, indie groups, and nationally known musicians - there is something for everyone.  It is all general admission without a bad seat in the house – the room is rather small, so you get to be up close and personal with the musicians.  No-smoking.

Tonight we’re heading to the Grey Eagle for a benefit to raise money for a local musician – and we’ll hear Amy Rae and The Swing Rays and Peggy Ratusz and the Daddy Longlegs.  Music is strong in Asheville.
